It's 7km
from Kew to Laurieton and 6km from Laurieton to the
Pilot Station, at the mouth of the Camden Haven River.
Follow
the signs from Kew to Laurieton, pass through the shopping
area, past the Plaza Cinema on the left. Cross the bridge
over the Camden Haven River and take the next turn to
the left onto The Boulevarde which becomes Camden Head
Road. The road sign at this turnoff reads The Boulevarde;
Dunbogan; Camden Head; Pilot Beach.
Continue
on this road along the river and Gogley's Lagoon to
Camden Head. On the right you will pass Hamey's Lookout
Road to Kattang Nature Reserve (gravel), Unique Close
and Bergalia Crescent.
About 14
houses or 250 metres past Bergalia Crescent the road
veers to the right. Follow this veer to the right (signed
Pilot Station Lookout) and immediately slow down and
look for the non-signed Pilot Station gravel access
track which drops off the road level to the left.
Note: If
you have gone straight ahead instead of veering right
you will end up at Pilot Beach carpark which is just
below the Pilot Station cottage.
PARKING
for residents and tutors is in the northern
garage and in designated parking bays on the access
track. All parking for participants in Pilot Station
events and for Pilot Station visitors is in the Pilot
Beach carpark. The Pilot Station access track and turning
circle is a set down and pick up point for people with
limited mobility and for deliveries.
